Gau Niketan

A dedicated cowshed providing shelter and care for Gaumata — producing 125+ litres of fresh milk daily to nourish our Prabhuji residents.

Gau Sewa: Service to the Divine Cow

Apna Ghar's Gau Niketan is both a welfare facility and a sustainable resource. We shelter cows abandoned due to age, illness, or non-productivity — caring for them as living expressions of the divine. In return, the healthy cows contribute fresh milk that supplements the nutritional needs of our 14,711+ Prabhuji residents.

Daily milk production of 125+ litres from the Gau Niketan goes directly to our residents — providing calcium, protein, and essential nutrients. This sustainable loop — caring for cows, benefiting residents — is a core example of Apna Ghar's integrated service model.
